Downtown Honolulu

In 1809, Kamehameha I, who had been living at Waikiki which was once Hawaii’s Royal Seat, moved his Royal Residence to Pākākā at Honolulu Harbor. Soon the area became the center for trading and, after Kamehameha the Great’s death, the Royal Residence was moved again to the current location of Iolani Palace. Hundreds of years of history and hauntings reside in this Downtown area. From the Kamehameha Statue, we will walk to several buildings in the immediate vicinity and learn some of the haunted history that surrounds us.
