Captain James Cook Statue
First westerner to discover the islands, this place is his first landing in Hawaii by Captain Cook. On his discovery on the Island of Kauai in 1778, he name the islands “The Sandwich Isles.” Naming it after Captain Cook’s mentor who was an Earl of village in England called Sandwich.
